Aerobic Classes Descriptions
Our
aerobics program is simply the best in the Virgin Islands. From water
aerobics to yoga,
the VI Family Sports & Fitness Center prides itself on staying
up to date with aerobic trends. Make sure you check our class
schedule, updated weekly by our staff.

Currently
we offer the following classes:
- Pump: 60 minutes of muscular strength, endurance and functional
exercises, utilize the body bar and dumbbells! Suitable for all levels.
- SWEAT: Step, hi-lo aerobics, squats, lunges, free
weights, resistance bands, (Don’t forget the abs!), and more!
Go home with a happy glow! Suitable for all levels.
- Super Step + Abs: Lots of Fun step choreography
in this energizing cardio workout, followed by 15 minutes of abdominal
work. Intermediate to Advanced
- Totally Fit: Following a 15 minute cardio-portion,
this class emphasizes on resistance exercises for building muscular
strength, Great for all levels.
- Nia Suave/Nia: Focus on balance, strengthening,
and core body movements / Same idea, a little more sweat! Beginners
welcome.
- Pilates: Strengthen within, lengthen and increase
flexibility and mobility. Mind-over-body modified exercise. All levels
welcome.
- Adult Fitness: A class designed for the senior
population who are on the move but may have physical limitations.
Focuses on range of motion, balance, fluid movement, strength,
and fun. Doctor’s release may be required.
- Water Aerobics: Get in the pool for your cardiovascular
and strength workout in a non-weight-bearing, low/no-impact setting.
All levels welcome.
- Yoga: Enrich your mind, body, and soul...this
class will improve flexibility, strength, and muscle tone. Beginners
welcome.
- Active Yoga: Emphasizing on flexibility & strength,
this class is utilizing the vinyasa style of feeling through poses.
Intermediate to Advanced
- Mat Science: This class features Pilates-based
core strength exercises, along with a Yoga influence. All levels
welcome.
- TBC: Total body conditioning, does just that!
This class utilizes body resistance, step, free weights and the body
bars for a hi lo impact workout. All levels welcome.
- Kick Box: This class will combine cardio with
a great kick box routine. All levels welcome.
